One Expensive Watermelon

Talk about expensive fruit. A massive watermelon in Japan raked top dollar at auction. You'll never believe how much this sweet delight cost.
STORY:
Some people reckon nothing beats a slice of watermelon on a hot day -- but who'd pay more than 6,000 U.S. dollars for such a treat?
Well, at least one person in Japan, who's snapped up a premium densuke watermelon, one of the first of the season, at auction.
[Densuke Watermelon Producer]:
"It is very encouraging. but we would like to stay modest about our achievements."
The man who forked out the cash for this luxury fruit says he did it to support the local brand - and plans to resell his prize on the Internet.
Fans of densuke watermelons say the taste is incomparable. At these prices, you'd hope so.
