Your more likely to kill yourself or your family with your own gun, then have a stranger kill you. A NRA guy told me he does not have a gun to protect him from strangers, but from friends and family. Time to get new friends. ST-NRA-F = Sue the NRA Fund.

There Should be a ban on handguns and only handguns. They are designed to kill people, not animals. Hunt and fish all you like. Obama wants to keep guns in the hands of responsible owners, that's it!! Stop the panic attacks. This will make people safer, and especially the police and NRA officers who will have to enforce these new regulations! It's time for real change, Obama / Biden 08!!

True about both guns and abortion. I am personally against abortion,though. 6 months ago, my wife was almost 6 months pregnant when we found out our baby was not going to survive. The doctors wanted to abort,we said no. Somebody else may have decided differently but we stood by our convictions.Our son died in utero a couple weeks later. We would make the same decision over again.i'm not saying I'm going to an abortion clinic and scream at the people there.

....the reason libs wish to "take away guns" is because they think it will stop crime. This is delusional of course. However,conservatives are just as delusional. Many conservatives think that if you overturn Roe V Wade it will somehow stop abortion. Hhhmmmm...same flawed logic as the libs. Why do conservatives understand more gun laws won't necessarily stop crime but think an abortion law will stop abortion? If Roe v Wade got overturned we will need about 2000 new prisons overnight.

Liberals have screwed up many things in the USA.

The democrats were basically responsible for the Civil War and it was southern Democrats who created "manifest destiny" which caused massive suffering.(one could argue it did help expand this country though) However,in the 20th century many liberal and socialist agendas have caused great relief. Women allowed to vote and hold titles,worker's compensation,job safety laws and overtime.

Liberal means "progressive"

Conservative means "status quo"

Yep, and the drug war also helps the contractors who get to build all the jails and prisons and the corporations who hope to run them all.

We need to repeal most of the laws in existence, not 'enforce' them. Then the average cop can concentrate on catching real criminals who've really harmed someone or their property and the jail space can be used to lock away the truly violent or help those who maybe can be helped.
