Today Horst Mahler (2:10-2:24, 5:50-6:05) is a member of the german nazi party, phantasizes about an zionist world conspiracy, Kunzelmann (3:30)also is an Anti-Semite. Why were these german "revolutionaries" so interested in the problem of palestine/israel?

Why were the RAF and other militant groups in the years after 1968 so interested in the palestine conflict and not by the way of example in the northern irish troubles? I think because they were antisemites like their fathers, although they fought against their nazi parents.

Annotation: There were only two miltant actions in conjunction with the Troubles. The "Movement 2nd of June" attacked the british Yacht-Club in Berlin-Gatow a few days after bloody sunday in 1972. A (german) janitor was killed by mistake. And there was an RAF-commando in 1985, called Patsy O'Hara. The leading industry manager E. Zimmermann was executed. A paradoxon: Where is the conjunction to ireland, when german militants are killing an german manager?

Very true. Just like in France in l968. Many of the most active participants had been involved in action which spoke out against the government action against Algeria.
