Another nice vocal from Marilyn McCoo singing the #4 hit of the week, "Should I Do It", by the Pointer Sisters. This is from Solid Gold, season 2, in April 1982. Hope all my fellow McCoo fans enjoy it... arranged and produced by Solid Gold musical director Michael Miller.

  • According to some countdown info I have this is from early April 82 a bit later than this song was actually charting in Feb 82. Great song--Marilyn's songs were always the highlight of the show for me.

  • Right you are! I double-checked, and this clip is from a show which aired originally on Saturday April 10, 1982. It's the same show from which Marilyn and Jerry Reed sang "Eastbound and Down", another clip recently posted to my channel. I'll correct the description! good catch!

  • Oh, yeah, big "dittoes" to MusicBlaster08 --- this is a *perfect* song for MMC! Heheheheheh . . . I wonder just how old this song is? It's very much in the old Brill Building style --- have to look that up, in a minute.

  • Great song. Nice video. Thanks for sharing.

  • Great....this song suits her very well.

Dionne Warwick also did her own version of "Dare Me". The version she does with the Pointers is posted, but she did it by herself on a different episode. Does anyone have that?
