Ustad Salamat, Shafqat and Tari are all very very good, or one of the very best I should say. We should not talk about Ustad Shafqat in a degrading manner, have to listened to Ustad Shafqat now hes is outstanding. Check out his kalavati in the Tribute to Nazakat and Salamat Ali khan.

@Surdasi Sorry! if you feel insults. It wasn't my intension to insult anyone, but I feel that you are insulting such a great singer. Although it was a critique, but I couldn't listen a word against such a great ustad. And I know that he is in so much SUR because I myself try to do classical singing. And I know how much difficult singing he is performing. Anyways, never mind. Thanks

The problem with Shafqat is, he couldn't control his voice while taking Sargams and Taans. Thats why it gets harsh. But if you watch the videos of Ustad Salamat Ali khan at his youth, he possessed tremendous control over voice and delivery. And that is the true signature of a Ustaad.
You will find tons of people making taans in fast tempos, but all of them are not Ustad, and everybody is not Ustad Salamat Ali Khan......
