@MookBC Oh, come on. It wasn't like Comrie took his helmet off, challenged Dawes to do the same but Dawes refused-they just grabbed each other and started throwing. Comrie entered the fight with a helmet too-Dawes simply knocked it off quickly.

Comrie only had 27 points last year. And the year after the Smyth trade, Nilsson outscored Smyth. And sorry...what have the teams with Smyth since the trade done? First round exit with the Islanders and hasn't been in the playoffs since.
That said, I don't mind Comrie coming back to Edmonton, but he has a lot to prove. Good luck, Mike.

i am so happy comire is back in edmonton he has major talent he has 33 goals one year and 30 one year
robert nilson isn't that good btw he had 29 points last year in 64 games thats not good when we traded a player like ryan smyth for him.. since his trade we havent made the playoffs in 3 years with him he almost wins the cup

That is the way I have been the last couple of years. I like the addition of Comrie, because even if it screws a guy like Nilson out of a regular spot, the team has backup for injuries which in the past couple of years we have relied on inexperienced minor league players.
