I found this song in Guildwars - additional music files under the Nightfall section. The name of the song was '' Alternate Theme '' so it's very possible that this was thought to be Nightfall theme, but they chose the other one instead. This theme isn't so fast paced, and is kind of short and has more arabic influences rather than african. Anyway enjoy this masterpiece of Jeremy Soule :)

I always thought that the Nightfall one is the worst of the themes. While prophecies and factions were calm and soothing, nightfall turned the gear into agressive. I think it doesn't suit so well. EoTN Theme was more of a ''Pompous''. I like it. But if you listen to Factions theme, it's more of a piece of art than a theme for a game. But that's how Jeremy Soule is :D. He's a legend!
I thought the Nightfall theme was like the campaign itself. I mean, you are thrown into the struggle against an evil god, something that didn't happen in either of the two first games. Also, the themes for the two first campaigns had to be somewhat soothing, based on the way the campaigns begin. In Prophecies, you are practically in the fantasy garden of a young child, while you study at a monastery in Factions. In Nightfall, you are an army officer from the very beginning of the game.
Nice song, though I like the other version better. Theme songs are supposed to be either fast paced, or have a majestic/uplifting tone. It's supposed to get someones attention and get them in the "Alright, let's play this game!" mood, excitement rather. This version doesn't quite cut it.
The original theme song for GW was a bit weak, but it got better in the newer versions, especially in GW-EN. It really has an 'Autumn' flavor' to it, I love it!
I partially agree with Darmikau. Its not necessarily unfinished, unpolished, or incomplete as you would say but it seems like it has a different kick to it. To follow up for a Guild Wars theme song you really need to step up. We need a nice strong overture or fanfare that is precisely put together and well directed. Luckily that doesn't seem to be a problem. ;)
(I personally prefer the nice strong brass section that is nicely showcased - as always. =) )

The normal one does.
