Cool!! As in Nice!!!

@peterf35 no it's not .... the engine is too hot even without after burn = easy target
btw the same engine is on the F35

Whole F-22 is shining and it doesnt use afterburner all the time as seen in video. If you google out IR pictures of 4th generation you will see F22 look alike in IR.

@thomaspruzina For truth. All that stuff matters. And as we can see at 0:47 the F-22 seems have a fantastic IR signature when not using afterburners, something it doesn't need to use all that much since it has supercruise. But you're right this is misleading to just show a FLIR picture with no info or comparison.

@BaroniGB
Thank you for that comparison link of both F-22 vs EF Typhoon dynamic FLIR resolutions. They are pretty similar in relative terms then, while taking into account proportional added thrust of F-22. I guess I'd only be curious to see the FLIR comparison of a SU-27/30 heavy fighter, when also using this Star SAFIRE system. They never seem to have the same visible torch shooting out of the nozzle at least, so I'd be curious to see her in the FLIR view perspective.. Cheers, BGB.

@AmFearLiathMor Hawker Hunter is a low altitude aircraft.....this is a high altitude AIR TO AIR fighter capable of firing missiles at mach 1.5 while maintaining radar and IR stealth.
How would your Hawker handle sustained 9g turns at 65,000ft? Not so well methinks considering it can't reach that alt.
It like comparing an A-10 to the F-22....just fruitcakey. Of course the F-22 is not going to perform the best at 1000ft, that's not its environment.
