more like so they got a place for a burrow, wet season=no land

they coincide in the wet season so the pups can grow up to be strong enough to go out when it is dry season. if they where to coincide in the dry season, then they dry season would be shorter for them

Well, animals in the wild are extremely strange :) like a small monkey escaped from a huge crocodile in Africa just by nipping on the crocodile's eyes. Small wins, and Big has some healing to get to xD
Although, caimans are the same.

I dont get why the otters coincide their pups adolescence with the wet season, isnt it easier to hunt during the dry season when all the fish are stuck in the oxbow lakes? hmmm
