July 10th, 2006 - This TU-134 was taking off from Gvardeyskoye (Ukraine) Air Base when nr.1 engine failed and caught fire, possibly as a result of a bird strike. Takeoff was aborted but the Tupolev overran the runway and burst into flames. All the 20 occupants survived, but 3 were injured.
One does not voluntarily enter a Russian aircraft to actually fly.

@hu5bu3 Watch at 0:08, flames and smoke out of one of the engines. with that I would imagine that the one engine is not putting out optimal thrust for a take off. Looking at the speed they seemed to be at the point where they are committed to taking off and tried to do so. However, the plane is not designed to take off with 1 proper working engine so they then tried to stop.
