How to change the headlight bulb on a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

I have a 2008 Sierra and I just replaced my drivers side headlight before winter, last night I noticed my passenger side headlight is burned out. sounds like the passenger side will be easier to replace but damn. On the Sierra you can leave the grill in but the plastic filler between the bumper and headlights has to be removed. GM made it a PITA to change the headlights, I'm not about to do this at night!

it would be easier to just buy a new truck. I bet you pulled the engine to change the oil too. darn those GM engineers!

If you are lucky enough that the burnt out bulb is on the passenger side all you have to do is remove the airbox.

Alternatively: unscrew three bolts that secure the mud shroud, slip your hand up behind the lights, feel for socket, turn 1/4 counterclockwise, let down the bulb, unclip it and pull the bulb from socket, put the new bulb in, replace the bulb back into the light housing, turn the socket 1/4 turn clockwise, replace the three bolts from the mud shroud. DONE!

TIPS: careful not to--break socket clips, to knock the new bulb nor touch new bulb with your bare fingers, where finger oils shorten bulb life

I have a 2008 that looks just like that and i wanted to install some strobe lights in my head lights but that looks like alot of work to get the headlight things out. plus i have a push bumper on my truck so its probably even harder since thats probably in the way now too. any suggestions?

Are you kidding me?! I'm changing my headlights right now in Anchorage effing ALASKA, in the cold. Headlights should be a road side serviceable item, since they're kind of an essential to night time driving. This is ridiculous! It must have been some dumbass engineer at GM (that probably drives a Honda) thinking that they can recoup some of that bail out money by making most pickup truck owners return to their dealer to get a new set of effing headlights installed! Not happy at all.

I feel your pain. I changed my 07 tahoe headlights with an H.I.D. kits and it was a pain in the ass, Hats off to you Chevy, you SOB's....
