What I dont get is why cant adam be the guy next door, why couldent kris be the guyliner haha. Everyone knows adam really wan, but almost 3 years on adams a megastar so it doesent really matter

because they cant label him, the only wan they can label his extroidinary talent is his sexuality. Which I liked how they build a background, maybe that well change peoples perception of him and his sexuality

@JosieSanelly Everyone was acting like that because he is the only gay person in the spotlight who says, "I'm gay, deal with it." He never hid anything.

@JosieSanelly Same here. The entire reportage deals far too much about his sexuality. I would say even more than his singing. They kinda lost the balance in my opinion.

@JosieSanelly Because in conservative, Christian fundamentalist America, which American Idol mostly caters to, being gay is still somewhat taboo.

Kris Allen AFTER the 'win': "Adam deserved it--just as much as I did." Kris's disclaimer 'just as much as I did" always gives me a chuckle.
Kris is a nice, guy. And despite his 'win,' he's still the nice, average guy next door.
