This style is not very flattering on Stanwyck, especially since her own hair was so fabulous. Even Billy Wilder looked at the wig after filming started and regretted it, calling it 'George Washington' hair. That said, using my own hair was pretty simple and I purposely tried to avoid the pitfalls that made it look so 'wiggy'.

Just love your videos!! Can't wait till my hair gets long enough for vintage styles, right now it's short layers all over (even on the top) to I can get curlers to work. Can't wait for your next tutorial. Any advice for hair that's so layered like mine? seems my hair takes soooo long to grow out ugh!.

sorry for the bloopers, meant that I can't get curlers to work the same because of the short layers, any advice?

@gpcampbell2 There's always a type of roller that will work for your hair length. Try doing this style with foam rollers and see what you get. Keep in mind it will be frizzy to start (you'll be rolling damp hair) but keep brushing...

Is there a length of hair recomended for pin up hairstyles? i used to have houlder length hair and it was easy to beehive and pin curl and victory rolls worked out great alsobut now my hair is midback length and doesn't seem to want to style...will ijust have to cut it off? :P

@MsCamiSunshine See Ilovegerardo's channel before you decide. She does spectacular things w/ that long hair of her's. My favorite length personally is just below shoulder length, layered hair. :)
