Adjusting the system pressure on the fuel metering device, adjusting the control pressure making a hole on the warm up valve and using the hidden allen key.

Use an ohm-meter on the plug on the warm-up valve to see if the heater on the bi-betalic strip is working. Expect a resistance of 22 ohms or close.

  • Do you know how to setup presure in ke-jetronic system?

  • @MalutkaLol sorry, no!!

  • How come you measure the pressure on the warm up line? When the engine is warm, will not the injector be closed and act as if your in line fuel switch is shut? And thereby give you the system pressure as opposed to the control pressure??

Which way will pressures influence fuel mixture?

Control pressure (CP) up/down makes richer or leaner?

System pressure (SP) up/down makes richer or leaner?

Difference between CP and SP up down makes richer or leaner?

    Many thanks in advance.

  • @reserbil1

The warm up line is not something that works only during warm up and it does not close up the line.. The warm up valve does 2 things: regulating the pressure for 2 minutes untilthe engines warms up, and controlling the pressure to a steady (3.4 bar) point after that . The difference of the 2 pressures is that matters. The "warm up valve" is kind of a wrong name. When i shut the switch, then i shut down the line and get a reading of the system pressure for a few seconds.

  • @reserbil1

also to find out the mixture, think of the difference of the pressures. As i sold the car 2 years ago, i cannot tell you with certainty, but as i remember, increasing the dif. results to a richer mixture (as you saw, the control pressure starts at 1.5 bar, giving a richer mix for warming up.) So increasing SP or decreasing CP gives you richer mix.

  • Thanks to you - ive sorted my xr4x4 speedboats engine as it was the little sreen or filter in the inlet part of the warmup regulator that was blocked and crap under it. this made the pressure go too high and so the cold start did not work.

  • Thanks for the video, I'm trying to get my head around Bosch fuel injection on a Saab 99.

  • GREAT STUFF! :D

  • Remember, don't let your T-handle hex wrench rest on the adjustment screw because it will weigh down the metering plate and throw off your CO adjustment readings.

  • thanks for the video!!

My 323i e21 runs only "good" because the injection is complitely original hehehe.I must do a recalibration...

  • Thanks for your kind reply. We figured it out. Ran the motor for three races and blew it up on the fourth. We have now installed a 16v motor that has electromagnetic pressure control.
