@lunahare2200 Yah I know that, I have read the book and have seen the play and movie many times, I just don't get why he doesn't have a little faith in her. If I told my guy there was a crazy person stalking me and he said it was in my imagination, he would be gone so fast.... like I said, I think he is an Eejit! lol

@HDC17 They were childhood friends. Plus, whenever any accident happened (ie Bouquet being hung) all the girls in the opera house (as they lived there) blamed the Phantom of the Opera. They were known for making up stories about the Phantom. They believed he had a 'death's head' and could manipulate fire and a whole bunch of other things

I think he meant that there was no ghost of the opera and that a real human was committing the crimes.
