Philosopher, it's a lost cause trying to explain to liberal belly rubbers that their hero Billy had 8 years to do something. They always have an excuse(true or not) as to why it was ALL Bush's fault.
-
macglobalus, Bush had the you know whats to invade Afghanistan and destroy Bin Laden's terror training facilities, which is what your hero Clinton had 8 years to do but DIDN'T.
And he had 8 fn' years to do it.
-
That is right. Not only knew - but didn't get him. Even tho our embassies were blown up during Clinton years, along with the USS Cole. OBL has dedicated himself to destroying America and Israel with any terrorists.

The reason for staying is because the extremists will see us leaving as retreating, and they will start their persecution against America and Israel.
-
Well there could be several reasons, which WE really don't know, One being that it's a military strategy, we're in the heart of the mid east, we can attack from anywhere especially from Iraq...2 being an underground government is in control and it's about gaining control for a One World Government, 3 being for oil, which makes no sense at all. Look at the war in Kosovo, we're still over there dying, and that's also in the heart of the Balkans...I think you'll find its a strategy, and control.

If so, waht s the point if staying in irak ? I mean besides Oil!!!!

although I do agree with you about Saudi Arabia...our hands are tied when it comes to Afghanistan, for although I can't stand Obama, he is correct that we should invade Pakistan...Make no mistake about our military and government, we know exactly where bin Laden is, and his conversation, and his sleeping habits, etc. I even heard from a friend/soldier who was over there that we actually killed him, but I have no basis or references for that. But everything is political right now. Everything.

Yes, haven't heard the news?

U mean, bush has actually done "anything" about al-qaeda. I meanbesides protecting the binladen whuile leaving the usa? or, has he actually chaced him in afganistan at all or n saudi arabi who are actually the real enemy ?
Typical politically correct Newsweek to try to spread the blame to the Bush admin equally. Bush had been in office 9 months. Clinton had 8 years and much of the time up to Bush's inaugration, when transition matters should have been discussed, was taken up by Gores fraudlent lawsuit (even rabid anti-Bush NY Times said Bush won) to grab the presidency by using the courts. That cut Bush's time to get the relevant anti-terroism teams ready. Then they try to blame the fiasco on Bush. Typical.
