  • @Zeolahn yep, it's all preference, i mean play what you want it doesn't matter to me... just from what i've played/read/heard it hasn't been such a great game... and hey, i may be dead wrong, but... ehhh, and yes.. i would say being a comic book fan would make it fun.. i can appreciate what DCUO has brought to the MMO table, i like the ability to completly design a superhero/villian.. but imo it has a more action game kind of feel than the MMORPG that they were trying to sell.. and it's P2P

  • @ThePayne322 I can't judge whether it's a flop or not yet (doesn't matter to me I already bought it haha) but yeah just different opinion. I'm sure being a comic fan helps the story seem better to me.

  • @Zeolahn also... the story in Rift and WoW are definitly there.. WoW more than Rift due to it being in it's third expansion... However, both have very good story lines that (at least for Rift) are very similar to that of DCUO in that two factions who normally hate each other, must fight together to save their world... Not only that but the quests in both WoW and Rift contain storyline/lore in it.. Honestly i think it is just preference, and more power to you, however i will say that DCUO=Flop

  • @Zeolahn thats fine.. i was just giving my imput.. if you want to play DCUO it's your right to do so... my opinion is obviously different than yours...i can see how WoW and Rift could be considered a bore fest. With WoW, it typically tends to be a gear grind.. and with Rift, although i don't have that much exp with it, i can say that other than closing Rifts, it is basicaly the same as WoW, however, all DCUO has is events that are similar to Rift (but are played in a different manner)

  • What sucks are the endless downloads every time you turn on your PS3 - if you're willing to wait an hour or so with a high-speed connection, go for it - otherwise not worth it.

  • @ThePayne322 I played both of those for two months each and both bored the living hell out of me and I canceled the subscriptions. Seemed like they had less content, the story was boring or non-existant, and the gameplay was another absolute bore fest.

  • @Zeolahn So i would say, yes, you may still have people playing DCUO, it is not going to be alot and it will be considered, if it hasn't already, a failed project. If they made it a f2p, i would say yes, very worth it. However, because it is an online game and requires server maintenance, which makes it imposible to be f2p. Soo now that ive gone on my rant and given specific reasons why DCUO will be a failed project. I implore you, go pick up either WOW or Rift, or some better MMORPG instead.

  • @Zeolahn not to mention the fact that you are paying the same ammount to play a lower grade action game, as you would be paying for say WOW (which, although doesnt have the best graphics) is the biggest MMORPG. It has alot of content, both leveling and end game. It has an economy and many other features. Or, you could play Rift. Which although may not have quite as much content, it has ALOT of overworld raids and amazing graphics (compared to WOW and especially DCUO).

  • @Zeolahn it is an action game... whenever there is a big enough group of people, it becomes a huge lag fest. And though you may think it has good graphics, for the ammount of time they put into the game, and the fact that it is a p2p, you would expect a little more effort on graphics. And about you being able to find people; thats fine, it's attracting the comic book fans and casual gamer because thats the kind of game it is. It has almost no end game conent and leveling is a breeze.

  • @ThePayne322 You know I hear this stuff and I feel like I have a totally different game. I have had no lag, great graphics, and group with new people every night. I love it so much.
