Protest of Annual EXODUS International Conference - Wheaton, IL - 7/14/09 - video II

Founder and Co-founder, Lillie and Linda of Gay Recruiters, Bloomington IN went to Wheaton IL (suburb west of Chicago) to help Gay Liberation Network/GLN (Chicago), Stonewall Association of Illinois and others protest the Annual International EXODUS Conference. They are a fundamentalist Christian group that engages in scientifically and medically discredited "ex-gay"/"reparative therapy" for LGBT people. They have called for LIFE IN PRISON FOR GAY PEOPLE IN UGANDA where they are actively working to get that law passed! And dont think they wouldnt do it right here in the USA *if* they had the power here. These people arent cute, cuddly, "caring" Christians - they are a dangerous, hateful, homophobic right wing extremist group who try to repackage themselves as "caring" and "Christian".

@BlueShreveport I don't have any intention of starting a religious debate 1st off. Next, I don't know what God you serve but the God of the Bible does not view homosexuality as something natural. Even in the beginning He intended man to be with a WOman. In any regards, in my belief its just a sin like any other sin. No one is better than any1 and I'm no better than any gay. If a church made them feel degraded then they are WRONG. God loves them just as much as the POPE AND ppl do change.

@musiqchild007 most often it is not the individual choosing to no longer be gay. They are most often brainwashed, bible beaten into believing they are not good enough for god. I say this from experience....and this type thing does not work. Many of the people that go through this, later fail miserably. You can't change what god has already made perfect.

Wait why are you against people's choices? If people want to stay gay and not go to the crusade FINE...but if they don't want to continue the gay lifestyle then why fight against their decision? What you are fighting for is STUPID because you are not allowing people to have a freedom of choice. Instead it is SLAVERY because you're seeking to control people's free will.. Let them be.

Not about my desires, Christianity is choosing Gods will. Jesus is the way, He didnt desire the cross except that it was Gods will. We are to take up the cross and give our lives to Him, that is salvation. No easy Christianity. Do not believe God allows sin if you desire it. Galatians 5:16-18, 24; 1 Peter 2:11; 2 Peter 2:17-19; Romans 8:5; Romans 13:14; Matthew 16:24; Matthew 10:38; Matthew 6:9-10. Do not believe you can request salvation then live a life of sin - Ezekiel 18:21-24
