  • Maybe because mac pros are overrated and over priced pieces of shit?

  • If crysis had multicore rendering it would play @ 39 fps maxed out on a 8800GT !

  • The reason why it only utilizes one core is because of how terribly the game was optimized. If Crysis was optimized correctly, computers back in 2007 SHOULD HAVE been able to max the game out at 1080p with at least 60fps like most correctly optimized games today. Even computers nowadays with the highest end hardware still struggle at Crysis at those settings trying to obtain a solid 60fps. This game is just terrible. Terrible gameplay as well. I'd rather play Minecraft and that's a great game.

  • this game shits me it bottlenecks every CPU that isn't running around 4.5ghz and it only uses around 3 cores if that if it used all cores it would run smooth as butter

  • where can i download that cpu utilization tool?

  • i play crysis on intel core 2 quad Q8300 and hd5770 on max settings with mster config 3.01 with 35-38 fps

  • @mekel8090 Yeah not really though, both the music and the vid and biebers suck.

  • @bigduey69 Well that's not true at all. If something isn't programmed for multi core use, it won't use it. GTR2, you can run that game on whichever core you want, but you can only pick one, it can't utilise both at the same time. Another example is convertxtodvd, while it is programmed for multi, it's not getting everything out of the cpu. Because you could run 2 convertxtodvd windows at the same time and it'll max out your cpu. Whereas just 1 will use about 75% of 2 cores

  • @andyli916 Agreed. Everyone used to think this game was real heavy on the CPU, but many benchmarks have confirmed that it's mainly about the GPU. I'm not saying the game doesn't run better on a quad though

  • @Prashanth12344 , you always use all cores. For every thing you do, even a single process will thread through each core making it so much faster, thats the whole point of having a multi core cpu.

  • i have:

    Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q8300 2.50GHz

    Nvidia GeForce GTS 250 1GB

    4GB of RAM

    Windows 7 64-bit

and it works awesome on the highest settings

  • @Prashanth12344 yea i have a intel quad core 2,6 ghz cpu usage max was 60% with each core
