EastEnders: E20 will showcase Albert Square like never before. It's an edgy, spin-off drama told through the eyes of four new teenager characters, scripted by some of the hottest young writing talent and broadcast as part of EastEnders 25th anniversary celebrations in 2010. And it will only be available to watch online. If the show's inspired you to get creative ' EastEnders: E20 - The Making of an Online Drama ' should be your first port of call at the BBC's Media Literacy website http://www.bbc.co.uk/medialiteracy. With exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes footage and commentary by ex- Eastender Shane Richie, this 4 part series will give you a unique insight into how you could make your own online drama, from the first inkling of an idea to the final tweaks in the edit.

The BBC Media Literacy website has useful information to help you learn more online skills, or show a family member of friend how to use the internet. You'll also find
information about how programmes, such as the EastEnders: E20 spin off are made.
The second guide, 'The Cast and Script', takes a peak at how the urban voice of a young generation wrote E20's storylines. For inspiration, the writers spent a day riding London buses to recreate dialogue you won't have heard before! Once the episodes were written, the hunt began to cast the series - a task that took months to complete, but was finished with just days to spare before the shoot began.

  • Epic failure of a show

  • fatboy sexiest man on the planet

  • The internet maybe `free-er` but there is still a filter which is meant to stop young children searching for unsuitable content, which does not filter E20 shows. I was shocked when I watched the 1st ever show with my children in the room, and heard sexual content/bad language, I had to turn it off!

  • @Mortyjunior She's in it now :D at last!

  • can't stand mercy 4 sum reason fatboy is a legend

  • fatboy is legend...a few years out but wicked lol mercy should be in main show too and fatboy needs more on screen time
