@Galaxy360 The ogres were the best players in CE. Darkman was the best player in CE when the competitive scene first started. The Ogres surpassed him. Zyos was only the best 1v1 player, but he practiced that the most. Hell, team FFA joined combining the 4 best players outside of the Ogres in order to take them down. That's how good the Ogres were. Point is, The Ogres were the best at the peak of CE.

@slippyal2 Zyos won both WCG 2003 and 2004, including other early events such as Halo50k if I'm not mistaken. DarkMan won the National Championship Tournament which was sponsored by Microsoft and G4, and is considered by many as the "first true pro". Killer N taking place over the Ogres can be debated, but I personally choose to rate him higher.

Zyos and DarkMan placed first in bigger and earlier tournaments than the Ogres. If you want to talk doubles though, I do agree the Ogres were solid.

@Galaxy360 You're kidding right? The Ogres were more successful than anyone in CE. They won the National, were the runner ups in 1 v 1, and owned the 2 v 2.

@slippyal2 I have to disagree there. When rating the best players, achievement should come before individual skill. The 'Top 3' best Halo 1 players were Zyos, DarkMan and Killer N.
