Honda Metropolitan - 3 day trip to Lake Hemet

Here I rode the metropolitan from Los Angeles to Lake Hemet, Riverside County, through San Juan Capistrano, Lake Elsinore, Perris, Idyllwild... It runs great on the highway and in the mountains. Also did some trail riding. :) on Thomas Mountain Road, Forest Rout 6S13, it's 2 miles East of Hemet Lake Campground.

@poet79ful The Met should be just fine at constant 40 mph if you're still wondering. It's liquid cooled too. You should probably use the high speed spark plug noted in the manual though.

Nice trip. I wish I had the infrastructure to ride my Aprilia SR-50 to a far away location and enjoy scootering. I believe that scooters what ever their cc capacity are great ways of transportation... cheap, low fuel consumption, easy to work on, and fun.

Oh, sorry, just noticed the comments. I am riding mine all over California. One trip was from LA to Hover Dam in Arizona (near Vegas). It now tops at 39-40 mpg. Used to be around 41-42. I just need to replace the spark plug and the air filter. Got 5500 miles on it now. :) Great scoot.
