I respect the fact that u r TRYING 2 seperate urself from religion. That's the first step back 2 reality. HOWEVER, u r still worshipping a Book that....even if u feel is only 3/4 BS....u MUST throw out the whole thing! A lot of JC's teachings were very enlightening but it doesn't mean He existed NOR that He was divine! U can find similar teachings within Buddism!

Religion is separate from spirituality. You're still not understanding the difference between the two. You can believe in God and not be religious, there is a difference. To say that both are synonymous is incorrect. There is a saying that truth hurts and offends many, however, it appears that Christianity is the only faith that offends. The bible does cut like a sword and truth really does offend. No one who isn't a believer can stay quiet about the core values of Christianity.

You're right, there's a distinct difference between religion and spirituality. Spirituality is a personal thing, a lifestyle to help or satisfy oneself. There aren't buildings, or rules, or threats, or symbols, or fearmongering, or age-old books. Those are products of religion. I am an atheist, but I am spiritually fulfilled and lead a satisfying life.
