Johnny's was the only restaurant I can remember eating at when I was a kid in Midland. We moved into town from a company camp in 1954 so I am sure I ate there at the beginning. The place, at that time had sawdust floors and hand made wooden booths. I sure hope he kept the neon pig sign over the front door.
Grew up in Midland.
Grew up eating JOHNNY'S BARBEQUE.
The best by far anywhere I've been.
Thank you, Roy Gillean, for carrying on a tradition that is worth carrying on.
