On a pit stop from working on other things, I did a video for Kof '95 for Playstation. We own both the Playstation and Saturn game, but I'm not sure if I have the means to play the Saturn one yet (due to the expansion cart that comes with it, which pre-occupies the slot I typically insert a bypass device).

I haven't played the Saturn game yet, but if the Playstation version is any indication of its prowess, then I can at least say this: The visuals are absolutely gorgeous for an old fighting game. Well, that's not all I can say. The visuals are gorgeous, the soundtrack is fantastic (though I personally found the rainy woods theme to be a bit odd and out of place. Nice, but odd), and the gameplay is fairly rudimentary and straightforward for a fighter of the time.

This game is easy to pick up and play and even has a little room for combos and juggles. The visuals are so freaking good that I think the environments look better than some of the later KoF games (they even have stage intros here). I wish this game had a combo counter and that damage could be controlled a little more, as pulling off simple combos can take half an opponents life by default. I also wish the game didn't have so much loading, though the real offender is the team battles, which loads between matches. It's minor, but it interrupts the flow of the music.

This video shows a few snippets of team matches (with transitions and the loading cut out) and a small portion of the neglected Eiji fighting by himself... man, he got shafted pretty hard throughout the series. No respect I tell ya. This video is made to demonstrate how the environments look and such, off of real hardware. Enjoy.
