My first student film at the New York Film Academy All sound effects created through Foley, filmed 16 mm black-and-white. Rather under exposed, unfortunately, but still understandable. Any Douglas Adams fans should get the joke.

  • I am reading "So Long, and Thanks For All The Fish," and I am at the part where Arthur tells this same story to Fenchurch. Is this a takeoff?

  • It is. It's based on the very same. In fact, in my remake "Cookies," the book she's reading is "So Long and Thanks for All the Fish."

  • I know it's over-exposed, but it's still beautifully shot. Great short story

  • Thanks! Have you seen my newer re-make? It's called "cookies", and it's not currently on the related videos, but it's better exposed, and I think it came out better overall.

  • I don't get it.

  • Arthur Dent recounts a story of something that once happened to him at a train station. He bought a packet of biscuits and sat down to wait for the train. Then a man, who was already sitting there at the opposite side of the table, opened the packet, took one biscuit and ate it. So Arthur took one, saying nothing, and they went through the whole packet like that. After the man had left, Arthur looked under his newspaper and discovered his packet of biscuits.

  • Epic detail.

  • Whoops.. Yes it is! Should have read previous comments. Sorry.

  • Thanks! I didn't. The lighting was actually a mistake. We overcompensated for the bright day.

  • Heh that was a nice quick story. Well done. I liked the lighting.
