THE COUNTER-SNAP LINOLEUM SCREWS ALLOW YOU TO STOP SQUEAKS IN FLOORS COVERED WITH LINOLEUM COVERINGS.
THE SCREW PULLS THE FLOOR TIGHT TO THE JOIST THEN SNAPS OFF 1/4 INCH BELOW THE FLOOR. THE LINOLUEM THEN EXPANDS BACK TO ALMOST COMPLETELY COVER THE HOLE. THE RESULT IS NO MORE SQUEAKS AND A SMALL SPOT THAT IS VERY HARD TO SEE.

  • Have somebody squeak the floor while you go underneath and tap a shim between the joist and plywood until the squeaking stops, glue shim.

  • @bruno2260

That will work if you have access below the floor. If you don't and the squeaks really bother you this method will work.

  • good idea

    thats not linoleum though

  • does this work with forbo?

  • put a drop or 2 of clear finger nail polish instead of costly seam sealer. works well on small cuts in vinyl floor

  • Brilliant................have been meditating on how to solve a problem like this for the past month. Had an entire upstairs with squeaks but tore all carpet up (needed it anyways) and solved that with 25 pounds of screws. Am unable to get below access or matching linoleum for the small area on the first floor so now I am on my way to Menards to find screws like those.

  • Sorry, but there's no way I'm gonna start drilling holes in a good linoleum/vinyl floor just to stop a squeak. That being said, if the squeak is driving someone crazy then you've certainly given them an option that's a lot less expensive then replacing tearing out the linoleum floor!

  • then put a drop of seam sealer on it it melds the vinyl together thats what it was designed for to meld seams together would be about a 11 doallar drop tho waste kind of since youve opened it shelf-life and all
