So your standard is perfection? I dont think that there is anyone in this world who would qualify. According to you-let the parties fight over his confirmation while the country continues to decline-until we find that flawless financial expert. Good Luck. Yes, I posted the poem-I think it best reflects this new administration. We are the only two here because both of us think that he/she is right and will not give up. :)

Opponents of Geithner acknowledge that he is the best choice. Pres. Obama acknowledged Geithner's problems, he never told us to look away. Pres. Obama called it embarrassing & a common tax mistake-it was corrected-he paid the penalty. I voted for Obama because I believe he will make the best decisions-and when he doesnt, he will admit it. There are some people who will criticize every action he takes-they should-maybe the country would be in better shape if we did the same to Bush.

I never said Clinton was without blame----Bush did nothing to regulate the market. It all comes down to the fact that Bush was the president when this country hit one of the worst economic disasters in history. Please admit that

What did Bush do to make it right? You should feel relieved that we finally have an educated-intelligent-communica­tor and thinker in the White House-at least we have a fighting chance.

Traded experience for color? I thought we already went over this? Your argument makes no sense. Explain.

Obama is for abortion rights-how is that less freedom?-ask a woman if she feels less free? That is more freedom-freedom to choose.

Regarding the bailout-Colin Powell said-If you broke it-it's your responsibility to fix it. The economy was broken under Bush's watch -It was his to fix-he didn't and Pres. Obama is doing the best he can with the mess he inherited.

Pres. Obama knows that we must adhere to the Constitution regarding Gitmo and its detainees. He signed the order right away because it's his duty to uphold the Constitution. Pres. Obama is extremely intelligent-he will make wise and CONSTITUTIONAL decisions regarding the detainees. He has been working hard prior to Jan. 20-he's doing a great job so far.

During the 110th Congress, he helped create legislation regarding lobbying and electoral fraud, climate change, nuclear terrorism, and care for U.S. military personnel returning from combat assignments in Iraq and Afghanistan.
