Here is the locomotive end of a Buffalo & Pittsburgh coal train pushing several coal hoppers across the old Shawmut "Dellwood" Trestle south of Brockway in October 2008. There are two GP38s and two GP40s, with GP38 #2000 in traditional Genesee & Wyoming paint.

  • I have not seen a train cross this trestle in YEARS!! When do they cross?

  • I'm not sure when they cross - I got lucky and saw a coal drag being pulled up the old P&S connection to the south, and knew they'd be heading across the trestle.

  • Nice way to spend a drizzly Oct day - good work.

  • That Trestle is a monumental work of Engineering, and a piece of critical Infrastructure. Could you imagine what it would cost to build a new one?
