  • thanks, very helpful.

  • I'm amazed it went smooth... thanks

  • I agree with the first 2 comments. Excellent job. I have a new PC. My company no longer provides Hummingbird Exceed. I needed a simple solution to display my Unix windows on my PC, something with a small footprint. I think this fits the bill

  • This is a great video. Nice, clean instructions. Easy to follow and understand. All tutorials should be like this.

  • Previously I had to go to my lab to work on my data analysis using Matlab.

But with this method described in the presentation, I was able to remotely access my lab computer which runs Linux from my labtop frommy office which runs MS Windows and use Matlab! How cool is this, I am simply breathless!!

  • Fantastic! Thanks!

  • No, because C is a programming language (used to make programs) not a program itself.

If you have a graphic C editor (X-emacs, gedit, eclipse, etc.) this will let you run them graphically from the remote server.

If you make a program in C that uses a graphical toolkit (gtk, qt, etc.) you can run them through a terminal and have the gui work.

  • Awesome Presentation and sorry i'm a newbie at this but does this work with the program C?

  • Hi I did all the steps on the tutorial but when I connecto to my ubuntu machine and start fo example Gedit it shows me this message: Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: localhost:10.0

    What Can i Do?

    thank you
