I agree with the first 2 comments. Excellent job. I have a new PC. My company no longer provides Hummingbird Exceed. I needed a simple solution to display my Unix windows on my PC, something with a small footprint. I think this fits the bill

Previously I had to go to my lab to work on my data analysis using Matlab.
But with this method described in the presentation, I was able to remotely access my lab computer which runs Linux from my labtop frommy office which runs MS Windows and use Matlab! How cool is this, I am simply breathless!!

No, because C is a programming language (used to make programs) not a program itself.
If you have a graphic C editor (X-emacs, gedit, eclipse, etc.) this will let you run them graphically from the remote server.
If you make a program in C that uses a graphical toolkit (gtk, qt, etc.) you can run them through a terminal and have the gui work.

Hi I did all the steps on the tutorial but when I connecto to my ubuntu machine and start fo example Gedit it shows me this message: Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: localhost:10.0
What Can i Do?
