The colors look great and no roller shutters show until the hand. I think u got the trick of shooting video with the D90.

Night video, that looks pretty good to even in Utube low res. But I don't think my Sony SR1 camcorder could do as well. As soon as the light fades it gets muddy due to noise. The much bigger sensor in the D90 should make night video a fair bit better. Camcorders don't do so well at night. I have a D90 here but yet to play with the video.
