I Played a Thing: Arcus Odyssey, Part 1

Once more unto the breach! I say a few things in my commentary that are completely wrong; the stage I get lost in is 2, not 1, and the "midboss" is a proper end-of-level boss. My faulty memory had combined Acts 1 and 2 into a single stage. My brain damage aside, this game rocks...hope you enjoy the trip!

Jedda has the best spell. Stoneskin costs one mana and basically gives you double life.. so cheap

Stoneskin's nice, but I prefer Diana's 1-MP fullheal and long range. That's one thing that's nice about Arcus Odyssey: all of the playable characters are quite competent game-clearers.

Hey Un, did you know this game was released on the SNES in Japan? The SNES version was localized and ready for release in America, but the translation team Wolfteam was bought by Sega, so although the game was released here, it was only the Sega Genesis version.

That I did, but thanks for bringing it up - tis good trivia, which is always welcome in IPAT country! I understand there's a dump of the English SNES proto kicking around out there, but I've yet to try it.

I agree. this game does feel dark. gives it a special feel.

Do you have a copy of the players manual? The concept art has a really cool 80's fantasy anime look, like Lodoss War.
