Whoever was trying to tell you his 7950 was better than your 8600GT was wrong Ahmed and you need to bomb his crib immediately. IMMEDIATELY!!!! The Nvidia 7950 was a suckers card, basically it was an old core with a new paint job. The card was simply put: terrible. The 8600GT is the better card and you are right. With way more features packed in, not to mention HD-BLU RAY playback in HD, but DX10 compatibility is a huge feature as well that the 7950 lacks. Newer technology is USUALLY better.

You are aiming at the sky, where the least is being rendered, and you are still barely getting a smooth frame rate. To consider running those settings in a firefights, it would be impossible. Pripyat would get below 15 FPS or even 10.

the 7600gt doesnt overtake the 8600gt at all- and in newer games that gap widens even further between the 7600 and 8600gt's.
