Say what you will about Obama, this act was one of great dignity, honor and respect. Not only did the previous president never do such a thing, even denied us permission to see the return of these who gave all.

Therein lies the difference between dignitary and coward.

@forloveoffilm I don't support Obama, but he did show great respect here, but people fail to forget that Bush respected soldiers as well. He flew into Iraq during Thanksgiving, I'm not sure about which year, but he flew in, and spent an entire day with soldiers. Bush visited soldiers and servicemen more than once. Bush did do stupid things, every president will. No president will be perfect, but Bush was a great Commander in Cheif, in my opinion. Show respect for people who do their best. HOOAH!

The Congressional deligation for each servicemember (both Senitors and Congressmen) should be doing this every time someone from their state or district comes home. As a matter of fact I think it should be a rule passed by congress. I'm greatful to the President for this act, I'd like to see or read more of it...maybe we could do it next time without all the press.
