Saturday 19 September 2009: 65th commemoration of the Market Garden operation.
The ceremony included
* speeches and prayers, laying wreaths, last post, silence and reveille, national anthems of Poland, England and Netherlands, including raising the concerning flags.
* re-enactment activities, historic cannons with horses and much more spectacular, about 1000 paratroopers from lots of countries but mostly from
UK: 4th & 1th Battalion The Parachute Regiment
NL: 11th luchtmobiele brigade, 13th infanteriebatlajon regiment stoottroepen Prins Bernhard, Assen
US, D, Be and Pathfinders: no exact information
Planes included C-130 Hercules and historic ones like Mitchell B-25, Dakota C-47 and Harvard
* lots of old historic vehicles, mostly four-wheels, sometimes two-wheel vehicles.
* more than Market Garden 140 veterans from the UK attended the 65th Commemoration

Thanks to God for sending deliverance.
