Boeing's 787, its newest passenger airliner, arrived in Japan this week for readiness tests ahead of its entry into commercial service. The 787 is not only the newest airliner in the skies, but it's also the most high-tech.

  • @snedie69er Well, do u honestly expect Americans to take a train from NYC to Chicago or Los Angeles? If you do, you're fucking retarded! Europe is half the size of America so of course they have to fly every where! It's not like here in Hungary where i can just take a train from city to city in 2 hours.

  • While Im not in favour of electronic/electrical flight control and removing human flight instinct and capability, Im happy to see that that the flight yoke has not being replaced by that stupid sidestick set up

Of course I do, but my original point was that the WORLD in general need to do more towards providing alternitive means of travel other than aircraft. The UK for instance, although only covering around 500 miles, is constructing a high speed rail network. Many of nations have also adopted this strategy too, but I have yet to see the USA consider it. This is no doubt simply down to the politics of each state, and the government not wishing to favour one state over another with funds

  • @snedie69er Well of course there are you silly. But you generalized and said all Americans wastefully travel by air too much. I henceforth provided an example that would invalidate your argument. I hope you realize that the U.S. is much larger than many of the smaller countries in the EU combined..

Did your forget that there are cities closer to NY than LA?

  • @snedie69er Distance flying from New York to Los Angeles is 4x longer than England to France... Your argument is therefore invalid.

  • Too bad one can't smoke on airplanes any more

  • @Roberto7474001 Magyarorsag for the win!!

  • Ok, so if the plane gets hit by lightning and / or theres an electrical problem, kiss your butt goodbye. Oh, thats right, nothing ever breaks. Awesome planning guys.

  • @Phroshy you... are... an.... idiot.

  • @snedie69er The actual reason why China built the CRH is because their population is 1b higher than that of US. They do build huge airports and order thousands of airliners as well, but those alone are just not enough for their demand in near future.

  • @Roberto7474001 Plus a plane ticket compared to a train ticket from NYC to LA....

    Flyings just eaiser by far.
