"Visions of a rabbit. A freer spirit. One not asked to walk and brush in lines. One whose sexuality is a fact of nature; not a curse to be bundled up and hidden."
Werner's insight into symbolism is amazing. This is so deep.

I need to do a lesson plan on Madeline, but I forgot the book and school. I needed to have the text for one activity I am planning, and why trying to find the text on the internet, I found this. WHICH IS WONDERFUL.

'This is an obvious metaphor for menstruation and sexual maturity!'

@westlondona That's where I started laughing so hard that I cried, and could hardly hear the rest of the story.

I'd like to see a Werner Herzog parody of Goodnight Moon. Why isn't there already one in existence? (No pun intended)

This has forever changed my life.

"This [appendix scar] is an obvious metaphor for menstruation and sexual maturity."
Ironically enough, my appendicitis went unidentified for several days because everyone just assumed I had menstrual cramps.
