as a die hard dkm-fan i must admit that this version is better
-
maybe, but the tossers did it first. or at least were the first folk-punk band to do it. and they recorded it 11 years before the murphys did, so i'll give them more credit.

it's a 19th century Irish protest song

The Tossers shit all over them dropkicks...but The Pogues shit all over the pair of 'em...
-
Hey, I got a question, who actually wrote this song? I see many bands doing their different versions, DKM for example.
-
Both DKM and The Tossers' version is very good. They vary in style, they have different approach to it and they both do it very well. I couldn't say that one of them is actually better. Cheers everyone!

@osiks nah

as much as i lik the Tossers, i like DKM's version more
-
he formed the street dogs because he missed the music. and your right, he did want to be a boston fireman, which he was
-
Thats what i read off their website. You may very well be right. Thats just what i read.
-
I was under the impression that Mike left to pursue his lifelong dream to become a Boston Firefighter, and after several years he then formed Street Dogs
-
no problem man.
DKM is a better version. end of story.

DKM's singer's haggard voice can't carry this song.
