  • Hi Jurgen,

Yes of course! When the crew guy brought on stage a chair and an acoustic guitar, evryone guessed that the next song would be Newborn. So, as far as I remember, before singing, Guy Garvey took a paper from his pocket and asked the audience if someone was called Jurgen. No answer. Then he dedicated Newborn to your son Jonathan, as you asked... That's it.

You missed a astonishing concert, but congratulations to you!

  • Hi! (francophone? nederlandstalig?)

Thanks for your comment. *My videos are being watched, wow!* :-)

It was so cute, with the little kid. They are so kind and polite! It was a magnificent concert... I've seen them at Cirque Royal in 2003 and at the AB in 2005 (awesome), but this one was my favourite. Elbow is the best band of modern rock...

See you next time then. ;-)

  • Hey elbow fans!

I had to sell my ticket because my son was just born a few days before! 2 months before the concert, I sent the singer (Guy) an email asking to dedicate a song for my newborn son! And the day after the concert, I read in the newspaper ('De Standaard') that he did dediacte the song 'newborn' to MY son (Jonathan)! Incredible! Did anyone of you hear him saying this during the concert? Please tell me how he did!

    Thanks,

    Jurgen

  • breathtaking concert, i was there as well. Saw them already several times and this one was one of the very best... 'the loneliness of the town crane driver' is so beautiful.

    What a voice !

  • Cool ! Thanks for the video

I was there too. I must have been a row or two in front of you. I stood right behind the parent with his kid up his shoulder.

Now I'm gonna go look if I can see the back of my head on the video.
