@TheXarthan The question of whether science answers who or what we are as human beings relies heavily on the breadth of your expectations. If you find yourself unsatisfied with the studies of anthropology, sociology, or psycho analysis, it may be that your expections are driven too high by your own desires and wish thinking. It is a logical fallacy to assume that a dissatisfaction in scientific progress should grant validity to ancient traditions.

@izaccy I know that science deals in facts but than again to those of the scientific world really... I think science can provide us with facts about what is obviously in existence already (physically) but I do not believe it can provide us with a universal answer as to who or what we are as beings or what our purpose is... And I find that some religion does help in finding individual truth and purpose, like Buddhism.

@izaccy Science cannot provide proof that everything there is can be proven to be. A lot have compared the epistemological stance of science to that of divination. They suggested that, to the degree that divination is an epistemologically specific means of gaining insight into a given question, science itself can be considered a form of divination that is framed from a Western view of the nature (and thus possible applications) of knowledge. Don't get me wrong though, Cont...

If you are going to refute a point @izaccy at least be genuine to what that person said.
I never said "science is spirituality" I said science is like any other religion, a way of explaining how the world works.

@CerebralPrince10 There is something fundamentally wrong with saying that science is spirituality, I mean science is about observing and collecting data, writing these laws e=mc2 and then getting to the moon, physically not spiritually.
Quantum mechanics is what brought you the computer, the world of probability.
science is what brought you the anesthetics, chemotherapy extending life expectancy.
measuring at the lab is science.
talking emotionally is spirituality..

@TheXarthan Buddhism is another myth ancient people used to explain the process of life.
over 200 different myths and polytheism have occurred throughout history.
none of them provided us with scientific knowledge in terms of the microscopic level or the astronomic level. surely some could guess by looking at the stars, some astronomy but most fundamental science have occurred through measurement within scientific laws to finally confirm it.

@BadBitchJordynn I personally find the concepts of Buddhism closest to the truth because they have been connected with science like how reality can be illusion because the only thing conscious of reality is the us and different people can have different views of reality. And also how matter is mostly empty space and no physical contact ever scientifically accours and Buddha knew these ahead of time concepts thousands of years before science. Amazing.

The third person should be Ray Comfort. Just so Leonard and Deepak can pwn him. Like if you agree.
For me it's a slam-dunk - gravity, electricity, energy, planets, etc. all existed before science came along to 'prove' they did. Science is always just playing catch up with what already IS and only discovers or proves what IS to itself. Just because science hasn't proven something DOES NOT MEAN IT DOESN'T EXIST but only that science has not discovered a way to measure or prove it.

"We're talking about primitive myhtology which is called religion. All standard religion is nothing other than cutural mythology and it's the expression of the collective of imagination of people about the limitations of their world." That's the best way to put it.
