Thank God for Let's Make A Deal, right?

Wow. WABD sure went downhill fast after DuMont's collapse, if this show is anything to judge by. How can you go from "Cavalcade of Stars" & "Life is Worth Living" to this junk?! I still give it 5/5 though cause I like kinescopes.

So, the game begins at 7:49! I would go totally bat-shit! Wait almost eight minutes, through a showing of prizes, a commercial and then an almost four minute explanation of the rules. Dotto didn't kill game shows....this thing did!

TOO HARD!

@tdickensheets Yes he did... in 1958, I believe.
And good lord, did that put me to sleep! Those people don't sound like they're having fun.

Was he did this before Lets Made a Deal?

"Under the I, number 4" She writes a 5. Am I just not hearing monty correctly this is at 10:00
10:02....Monty called I-4, Patty wrote down I-5. Is this the precursor to the rigged game shows?

@38ddkelly Nope. Just a woman either not paying attention or hoping to slide one past everybody. I doubt this show was on anybody's radar enough to bother rigging it.

THe gameplay can be confusing. Five digits for a bingo card based on a telephone number? I thought they were seven digits.

Not everywhere in the 1950s. Note that Monty goes to the trouble of explaining what to do if you don't even have five digits.
