It's a short trail that will go a long way toward making it safer for cyclists and pedestrians to travel around the bustling Factoria mall area. A new walkway/bikeway along 108th Avenue Southeast will make it easier for non-motorists to get to the I-90 trail from downtown.
While just a third of a mile long, the Factoria trail, which opened last week, closes a gap between a key north-south bike route and the Mountains to Sound Greenway trail along I-90, a primary east-west route for the entire Puget Sound.
No longer will riders and walkers have to share Factoria Boulevard with mall traffic when they want to traverse between the north end of 124th Avenue Southeast, which has bike lanes, and the I-90 trail.

I have no beef with the quality but I think a visual map of where the trail goes and the future expansion plans would be helpful. Congrats to the folks who made this happen.

It's great to see another trail connection going in. However, I'm a bit worried about the design with loose gravel right at the edge of the trail. Debris such as gravel on trails is one of the main causes of bike crashes. I hope the city monitors any problems -- most such crashes go unrecorded if they don't involve a fatality.

@VlogTanner Some parts may seem a little jittery, because the videographer filmed while riding a bicycle, but overall the quality appears to be good.
