www.17harleystreet.co.uk - Iodine is an essential ingredient of the hormones produced in the thyroid gland. Iodine is vital to mammals in general and humans in particular. It is usually found in sea water in the form of Iodide, which is transformed into elemental iodine by the action of the sun.
2 billion people worldwide have insufficient Iodine intake certainly grabs Dr. Cooper's attention. Add to that, most experts agree that worldwide Iodine Deficiency Disorder is the leading cause of preventable mental retardation.
Dr Cooper. Is it safe to take several drops of diluted liquid iodine (Potassium Iodide, Sea Kelp, Sodium Benzoate) in water as prescribed for birds. I'm in the UK you know how hard to is for us folks to get any info on this. I take 60mgs of Paroxetine every day which apparently uses up huge amounts of iodine.

Adding anything to the water is a mistake. We wash our dishes and bodies with it, flush toilets, water gardens etc. Before you know it we have too much iodine or whatever else. We may need more iodine, but this is not the way to get it.
