Castlevania: Harmony of Despair (HD) - Chapter 10 "Origins" (Simon Belmont) New DLC stage!

NOTE: I don't consider this a "walkthrough", it's just a fun playthrough to show off the stage and the new Simon Belmont 8-bit character. This is only about my third time playing the stage. If I did a walkthrough, it would be for hard mode.

Man, the new DLC stages for Castlevania HD has been great so far (the characters and the stages), but today's DLC stage is so full of win for me! The new stage (chapter 10: Origins) basically has the full NES Castlevania comprised into one big stage and and "Vampire Killer" serves as the background music. It has all bosses and levels from the original Castlevania.

All enemies have the same AI, all enemy placement is the same, all secrets are basically the same and all bosses are now sub bosses. I was messaging Paglie over MSN and he got to witness my sudden fanboygasm upon starting this stage.

It's so funny to play as one of the newer characters in this stage - all characters are fully playable on chapter 10. The new characters are taller than most of the enemies. Simon Belmont is only about half the size of other characters. He can move under some areas that other characters have to slide under. xD

Kudos to Paglie for recommending that I should post this. I'm sure you'll be lol'ing at the Berserker Mail as an item drop from the Frankenstein monster!

I love the fact that the "retro" level is not just a homage to the original game, it IS the entire original game, with gameplay improvements. Makes you hope they make a "Origins 2" stage that is the entirety of Simon's Quest...

@DarkKanine u have to level up his sub weapons... easiest way is in survival mode with a friend online use manaprism and only the sub weapons...its tuff and very very very VERY slow
