  • What is the point of dwelling on the past? Lowell gave us heaps and let's treasure that. But he IS gone!!!Period. And nothing, absolutely sfa will bring him back. The only thing real is what IS now. These guys rock and I would say that when I saw Little Feat about 4 years ago in Sydney they were IMHO the best band I have ever seen! Let's be grateful the rest of the band are in such great form!

  • Even if Lowell was the heart of Little Feat, without the brain, Lungs, and liver, You're still dead. P&F are so talented, It sickens me to hear people belittle the Talent that has survived, and still plays 200 dates a year.

Paul, Has paid more for the loss of Lowell than you or I ever will. Long live Little Feat & the memory of Lowell George, If we're really going to get better, don't stuff gotta stop bein' bad?

    Dwell on the good shit,

    T

  • @JaysonK19 Actually, I got Two Trains [which Toussaint covers regularly in concert], with his "Last Train" which is on his Southern Nights record which was release in 1975. I can't prove this, but I sure that Lowell and Allen traded musical ideas back in the day. I'm sure they influenced each other in some ways.

Both are musical geniuses, I'm glad Toussaint is alive and well and still very creative.

    RIP LG

    You're incorrect.

The song "Two Trains" was written by Lowell George and originally recorded by Little Feat on the "Dixie Chicken" album.

Toussaint did cover the song, notably with Leo Nocentelli on the Lowell George tribute album, but the song is most assuredly not an Allen Toussaint song.

Perhaps you're confusing it with "On Your Way Down" which also appears on "Dixie Chicken" which was written by Toussaint.

  • you know, paul and billy and the guys didn't kill lowell george! bad enough they lost their friend and colleague. brave enough they decided to carry on. lowell's death is not an excuse to trash the rest of the band. it was (and is) a BAND, not a back-up band for lowell! he is missed but respecting the current little feat is not a slur against him. give the guys a break! they've earned their standing. they ARE little feat.

  • This is an Allen Toussaint song that Lowell cover on his lp. Great cover of a cover.

  • LOVE

  • Saw Paul and Fred at Carrollton Station during Jazzfest several years ago. This was a small intimate setting and it was an amazing night. Teresa Anderson came in at the end and jammed. Lowell was certainly there in spirit.

  • Parasites on Lowell. Without trading on Lowells's music they'd both be rockin' the deep fryer. Give me one piece of original music these hacks have written that is known beyond their immediate families.

  • Wow ! If this do`nt rock you, you are mighty rusten

  • Little Feat leave Big Footprints. They're a grand band.

  • Uhhh....maybe I listen to too much country blues...but this sounds like a band arrangement minus drums, bass and electricity...
