This record at least 77 years old
Here is one of the Founding families of a style from the tree that would later split into Country and bluegrass. After the successful use of the electrical recording process some record companies would take mobile equipment to the rural Appalachia in search of Hillbilly music. The resulting popularity of those records got the Carter family into Victor studios in Camden New Jersey in 1928 to record using the Orthophonic process. I love this record because Navajo Church music is heavily influence on bluegrass gospel. When I hear the Carter family I think of my grandparents singing. And a quick byline for the Blue bird label, is that it was formed by Victor to offer records at a discounted price, so many new, old and 2nd tier artists flourished under this labels as they would releases old masters and scout new talent that was not popular yet. It is not a surprise that bluebird allowed Montgomery Ward to sell Bluebird records under its store brand.

"Mother" Maybelle Carter was definitely a huge influence on Johnny Cash when they toured together - keep it in the family.
