Tennessee Aquarium staff members went to a local quarry to select rocks for gentoo and macaroni penguins. These rocks will be used by the Aquarium's penguins to build nests. It is believed that these rocks more closely resemble the type of rocks used by penguins in Antarctica. Nesting rocks will go into the "Penguins' Rock" exhibit on April, 1st 2009. Nest building, courtship and possible breeding behavior is expected to begin almost immediately after the rocks are given to the penguins.
