After listening to this album constantly for the last month, I have concluded that this is the best album yet conceived in the
21st century.

Theory: Might the JD refer to J. D. Salinger, author of Catcher in the Rye, of whom Richey was known to be a fan. Both he and Brando lead increasingly recusive lives after early sucess.

@RunawayRocky The entire song is about/inspired on the movie featuring Marlon Brando "Reflections in a Golden Eye"
-
@drav6 I wasn't born during that era! And anyway I have only recently become a fan, and JFPL is probably my favourite Manics album. The Holy Bible has really grown on me since I first listened to it though. It doesn't matter because every Manics album is brilliant and they will continue to make great albums!

im guessing you were'nt a manics fan during the holy bible era,i used to listen to that album in 94/95 while thinking there's not a soul in the world who understands.
-
I think that Journal For Plague Lovers is better than The Holy Bible, and this song deserves much more credit
-
@Rollo7 Best since The Holy Bible and I can't see there being anything better for years to come, unless the Manics outdo themselves again.

Brilliant, on every level. This is thought-provoking music.

Where is this part from?
"Bare floors, plain white walls.
No window curtains, nothing but essentials.
With no luxuries, no ornamentation,
Utter simplicity.
But it's also clean,
It's clean as a rifle."

Why the fuck aren't they getting 500,000 million views. Fucking justin beiber is.
