@Blademaster865 the original versions involved use of the weapon as well as dancing over it. There is also some other ones that used the dirk and lochaber axe as its thought they were originally used as training exercises not as dances.

??? why do they call it a sword dance, if all they do is step over a sword occasionally, could they not jump over stick and call it a stick dance.
