Anyone who hates on this or compares it to anything or anyone else, really doesn't understand Daniel Johnston to begin with. And you don't deserve to like this amazing interpretation anyway. I just got broken up with, and this made me happy that one day, I will find true love. And a boy who will do stuff like this with me. Life is incredibly, cruelly beautiful. If you can't accept ingenuity, you can't accept anything.

It's cute, not horrible. Honestly, this is probably a more professional refined version of the original. That being said, it lacks the one thing that made Daniel Johnston's work truly great. Call it "heart", "soul", or whatever you choose. No one will argue that Johnston was the most skilled musician or lyricist. His music simply did what music is supposed to do. He felt it, and if you listened, you felt it too.
